Paul’s asshole has endured in the form of the oral source of much of the utterings of Christians.

I’m always fascinated by the Christian homophobes who use the Bible to rail against homosexuality. There’s a lot more material in the Bible that supports the owning and selling of slaves. Why aren’t they out there advocating for that?

Some slaves in Rome worked on farms, which meant that they could be put in traces to pull farm implements, e.g., plows.
It was easy for Paul to tell them to obey. I wonder what would have happened if Paul was in traces, pulling a plow and getting whipped? He might have had a different story to tell.

One thing I’ve always wondered about a lot of the hardcore Christians is the fact that Jesus was a Jew, not a Christian. And Jesus was not the literal Son of God. That little belief came out of one of the Councils of Nicea, about 400 years after Jesus was born.
Christians, when, exactly, did Jesus tell his followers to abandon Judaism to establish a new religion (based on a lot of Jewish writings)?
I think Christianity was Middle Eastern import that would have died a quiet death had the Romans not seen it as a way to increase the power of the empire. It’s another story that grew and grew as it was re-told and re-worked for the benefit of Romans and eventually the barbarians warlords of Northern and Western Europe.

The Catholic Church is Los Angeles is apologizing for all the abuse the priests inflicted on the kids over the past 60 or 70 years. It’s about time!

“As an Alabama standoff and hostage drama marked a sixth day Sunday, more details emerged about the suspect …. Dykes, described as a loner who railed against the government … beat a dog to death with a lead pipe, threatened to shoot children for setting foot on his property, and … listened to a lot of conservative talk radio.”

Where is Puffy when you need him? I’d bet he could explain this one.
God spews:
No need to explain…..
Paul is referring to contract law. Apple’s instructions to its employees are very similar.
Paul was, after all, a Roman citizen. He spoke for Caesar not for Me.
I am what am.

God spews:
Jesus is dead.
His asshole, long rotted away.
