HA Bible Study: 1 Corinthians 6:1-4

by Goldy — Sunday, 7/13/14, 6:00 am

1 Corinthians 6:1-4
If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church?

Well, the entire concept of “faith-based” belief systems that are founded in outright lies and misperceived half-truths is anathema to rendering correct decisions in a conflict. Factual information is directly oppositional to the idea that individuals or committees who have spent lifetimes studying such false ideas are somehow more qualified to render judgment on disputed matters and is absurd on its face.

Religion is an institutionalized private system of theft. It is designed to enable those selfish people with the silver tongues, quick minds and the desire to steal to be successful in their thefts while immunizing them from responsibility from the effects of those thefts.

There is no more heinous institution that that which places responsibility for decision-making into the hands of those folks who bear no responsibility for, nor suffer any consequences for being wrong. Especially if their decisions are founded in their own desire to facilitate robbery.

This is the idea behind a universal legal system, Sharia.

@2 It’s also my justification for claiming a religious exemption from the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby ruling.

Would you like me to rule on Hobby Lobby? My law is LAW!

    Ah, yeah, Hobby Lobby.

Basically a store where you can get stickers and ribbons and round-ended scissors and bible coloring books. But they wont carry Crayola, Crayola is a GAY company. The only “hobbies” that Hobby Lobby caters to are the ones that require no real creativity whatsoever.

@1 Your first paragraph is an apt description of the five White Male Catholic Republicans on the Supreme Court.

Yes, one justification of religious courts. Henry VIII broke the power of the clerical courts in England, one of the necessary steps for rule of law, independent courts and democracy to occur.

@5 – I wouldn’t disagree with you about the level of “creativity” HL “stimulates”, but they do in fact carry nearly 100 products branded Crayola, including more kinds of crayon than I even knew existed. Their Web site is actually sort of frightening, considering what they consider to be creative.

When Jesus comes back there will be a special place for “people” such as OWS Racist Fraggy@1. Then OWS Racist Fraggy@1 can complain about those outright lies and misperceived half-truths!
