A couple of western governors stopped by the Big Tent today to chat with the bloggers, and not surprisingly, I managed to get in the first question with both them. Above is an unedited clip of Gov. Brian Schweitzer of Montana, who appears on the verge of breaking out into superstar status after his incredibly well received speech last night.

He was my favorite for VP, but I guess Obama didn’t get my emails (not that I don’t love Joe Biden). Brian Schweitzer has more charisma and common sense than any politician I’ve seen in quite some time. He has a bit of a history with marijuana, but does anybody really care about that anymore?

You should start rounding up all the right-wingers in WA so that you can be ready to go when the Dims win the election. BS (Brian Schweitzer) is a good speaker, and is a centrist democrat. IF the D party goes pro-coal, pro-public use for public lands (ie no more elist wilderness additions), pro-gun, pro-(sensible)drilling along with new energy sources, I’ll switch over. BUT, sadly, I don’t feel BO has his centrist common sense.
On another note, how come Brian’s neighboring farmers, friends, even political advisers (hint:BT) are running (and voting) as R’s locally? Why was Brian trying to sell his farms 5 years ago (hint, it wasn’t because he was a good farmer!)? Why did Brian storm out of a meeting concerning scotch base (a product of mint production) after lying to fellow growers? When Brian was in Saudi growing wheat, ask him about his efforts to back-door Washington state wheat growers (hint:rojo).
I am not saying BS doe’s not have political potential, I like his centrist positions; but some are strongly at odds with Mr. Obamas. It also proves that if Brian, can be a gov., anybody can!
