It just keeps on getting better. Today, the McCain Campaign held a conference call to piss and moan about the press calling them out for lying in their anti-Obama ads… and lied during the conference call.

Democrats lie on conference calls, too.
There’s plenty of blame to go around — but if something goes right, we’ll take all the credit. There’s not enough credit to go around.

The race card didn’t work… Ask Obama…
WASHINGTON (CNN) – A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll suggests that by a 2-to-1 margin, Americans blame Republicans over Democrats for the financial crisis that has swept across the country the past few weeks — one factor that may have contributed to an apparent increase in Barack Obama’s edge over John McCain in the race for the White House.
In the new survey, released Monday afternoon, 47 percent of registered voters questioned say Republicans are more responsible for the problems currently facing financial institutions and the stock market, with 24 percent saying Democrats are more responsible. One in five of those polled blame both parties equally, and 8 percent say neither party is to blame.

Bill,
You have no idea what you are talking about. Are you making a reference to race? To election rigging?
Bill your candidate is having trouble with his notes, he is unable to speak off the cuff either. Friday he is going to be exposed for what he is…..a feeble old man who is being manipulated by his handlers.
Good luck winning an election with that.
You can put lipstick on an old man…. and you still have an old man.

George Will is a member of an endangered species, that of the Intellectual Republican. While I generally disagree with his politics (at the same time enjoying his baseball musings), I’ve always given him credit for his intelligence. Moreover, because of his command the English language, I can usually read his essays without gagging, even if he is spewing some ideological nonsense. You Republicans out there who just dismiss Will’s comment really don’t live in the real world. McCain is incapable of leading.

Yes, the McCain “conference call” complaining that the mean old media they’ve been savaging for weeks are not treating them with the proper fawning respect…
Report: The McCain campaign is outraged the New York Times hasn’t covered the lobbying work done by Joe Biden’s son. Of course, the Times ran a story last week on the lobbying work done by Joe Biden’s son.
They’re not stupid; they just sound like they are. Well, John really is stupid.

Considering Will’s expressed surprise at (and disagreement with) McCain’s announcement that he’d fire the head of the SEC, one wonders what his reaction must be to McCain’s declaration on last night’s 60 Minutes that he’d like to replace him with Andrew Cuomo.
How shall we start the eulogy for Grampy and Barbie? Oh, and, Cynical, I just spent a whole lot of time in your state and there seems to be a whole lot of support, open support, for Obama. What’s that all about?

McCain MUST be stopped. The danger to all of us, even our friend Bill here, is overwhelming.
Tonite I intend to double my contribution to BHO and start supporting the guv .. if only because if she loses she can hurt Barack (Rossi’s alliance with the Radical Republicans is enough too).

After Munich, most people dismissed Hitler as an amusing side issue. Then he won a minority position in the Reichstag and Hindenberg turned to Adolph, figuring that the forces that be would be able to control him. They were wrong
Placing the Nazi card on the table is always scary, but the anlaogy to the Radical Republicans is not all that hard to see. No, John McC is no Hitler, but Hitler was not controlled by Dobson and between Dobson and Hitler the choice is not pleasant.

It’s entirely possible that Bill is on to something. That would be so typically, and despicably, Republican.
Fortunately, since 67% of Americans blame Republicans for the current mess, there’s still a good chance that the same 67% will see through the charade.

Poor McCain – the guy really is losing it. So he willneed to rely on his advisors even more. Unfortunately for McCain, his advisors got the country into this latest banking mess. Rick Davis got upset that someone noticed the almost 2 million he got in lobbying fees from Freddie Mac, while his candidate was savaging the golden parachutes and fannie and Freddie. Gee Roick, maybe it isn’t the NY times that is the problem – but the lobbyist influence in and around McCain. Of course, maybe Rick was just listening to Phil (nation of whiners) Gramm – and that was why he was whining about the “unfair” media tht actually report the facts.
