yeah, that’s because many Conservatives actually work 8am-5pm (and beyond usually)…not that Goldy would know anything about that particular virtue.
At least he’s not whining about flying ass over teakettle while descending a flight of carpteted stairs in cotton socks because he had to catch the beginning of a TV program downstairs…and tying it to the importance of having health insurance. I say a little common sense should take care of that predicament instead.

Again, why keep blogging about these people? Obviously, based on this turnout alone, they are a minority fringe.
Is it that you’d rather talk about these “obstructionists” than the actual bill?

Watching on TVW, that was a great town hall meeting Rep. Brian Baird held the other night. That guy’s sharp. The Yelling Marine showed up again, still angry, and Baird deftly schooled him on the 10th Amendment. Sweet!
I’m just back from the rally. The pro-health care reform guys outnumbered the antis about about a factor of ~75-100. There were lots of us and hardly any of them.
As far as I could see, nobody on either side was packing.

Someone leaned over to me, and said, “Is that David Goldstein?” I said, I dunno, point. And there he was, in some sort of strange disguise, and asking people about cupcakes. I thought, what the heck is he doing? I’m sure we’ll all get to see when he posts a few youtube stars. Of course, it didn’t look like he told them who he was, or what he was videotaping them for, so…probably not the most ethical thing to do. But meh, what are ethics when you’re dealing with “teabaggers,” right?

@8 Is that why you’re able to spend so much time here? I thought you were unemployed.
I also saw Don (last name?), who has posted on Sound Politics and visited DL a few times.
I was impressed that the trogs had their own little protected area. With cops in between camps, keeping the peace. It’s nice they were afforded special consideration, just like they did for us liberals when they were in charge. Not.
During one of our anti-war marches, a driver got impatient and drove through the people marching, threatening people with his car. His car was swarmed (he should have locked his doors first). We managed to restore the peace. And the cops just stood there and watched.
I didn’t count noses, but I saw about 20-25 in the trog pen.

Dumbasses marching in the street obstructing working citizens attempting to go home to their family after working 8-10hrs that day deserve little respect.
This simple bit of logic is lost on liberals, who lack not only a work ethic, but seemingly, the hygiene gene.

@16 Actually, demonstrators have the right-of-way:
“Congress shall make no law … abridging … the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” — U.S. Const., Amend. I
and,
“The right … of the people peaceably to assemble for the common good shall never be abridged.” — Wash. Const., Art. I, Sec. 4

@ 17 and @ 18 ~ Then grab 10-20 of the silly fucks in here and walk down 5th avenue in seattle w/o a permit and see if the police recognize your “constitutional right to assemble”.
@ 19~ just because I outwit you on every post doesn’t make me “mean” or a “drunk” there, Darryl. But nice job at projecting…
Violence against people with opposing opinions is just fine?
Ding, ding, ding! We have another winner. You’ve just been added to my twit list. You will be ignored from this point forward.
PS- Saturday afternoon, permitted parade (hence the police “protection”), the car was a Mercedes, and the driver made an unprovoked attack.

Healthcare reform rally, 6pm at westlake. Thread:
Goldy ~
UPDATE:
Perhaps those more knowledgeable on the subject can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe since Washington is an open carry state, and Mayor Nickels proposed gun ban has never gone into effect, it would be perfectly legal to proudly carry and display one’s firearms at today’s rally. And since this is the West, where gun ownership transcends the political spectrum, it would be awfully interesting (and even amusing) to see how the teabaggers might react when confronted with gun-toting liberals.
