    Plenty of unattended and vacant “weekend” getaways surrounded by dense forest. Nothing is easier to steal then an outboard. $10,000 retail for a 75 hp. You can rig a hoist onto any pickup and just back it right up to the boat trailer. Gobs of YouTube videos show the process. Heck, steal the whole boat if you like. Most assholes don’t lock their hitch. And bolt cutters are $25. But boats on trailers are much harder to sell without risk. Boats don’t really retain much value. They have registration numbers. They get reported stolen to the DMV. And sale involves title, etc.

    You can sell a motor at a yard sale.

    For reference a relative risk of 1 indicates no difference in risk between the groups.
    A relative risk less than 1 (like 0.56) means the risk is reduced.
    In this case, a relative risk of 0.56 means the risk of heart failure is 56% of what it would be in the comparison group. Essentially, it means the risk is reduced by 44%, which is a subtantial reduction. A relative risk of 1.48 means the risk is increased. In this case, a relative risk of 1.48 means the risk of heart failure is 148% of what it would be in the comparison group. Essentially it means the risk is increased by 48%, a substantial increase.

    You are choosing the substantial increase.
