SPD, get your house in order. Limited value. Christ. Limited value. Anyone going 74 un a 25 zone has limited value, not the person they hit. Limited value? Can buzz through the city unsafely, but can’t investigate adult rape. Limited value, fucking celebrating when their reckless behavior kills people who they swore to protect and serve.

And I understand there’s an ongoing process, but geez Mayor Harrell’s statement is pathetic. Mention SOD. Talk about how things will improve.

Anyway, please wash your hands right now and get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.

Mr. Mayor, do you have any thoughts on the the now apparent fact that the VP of the Seattle Police Officers Guild feels the residents of your city are of “no real value” AND when he was caught saying such things on tape made up a story about how he self reported it and now the Seattle Times has published that a low level officer was the first to discover the tape and was so concerned he forwarded up the chain and it has been known by Chief Diaz for at least a month with absolutely no response or disciplinary action initiated against the VP of the Seattle Police Officer’s guild?

Do you think the VP of the Seattle Police Officers Guild should resign from that position AND the Seattle Police Department?

Do you feel that this information should be part of the ongoing contract negotiations between the city and The Seattle Police Officers Guild?

Hard to blame the Dems. After all, they went full-blown race card with Momala and look at the pickle they’re in because of her.

White power party: The Tennessee primary is the third U.S. Senate contest of the 2024 election in which Schumer and the Democratic Party are supporting white candidates at the expense of their black challengers.

    • The Democratic establishment is backing two white candidates—Reps. Katie Porter and Adam Schiff—in the 2024 U.S. Senate primary in California. Rep. Barbara Lee, a black woman who is also running, has complained about her party’s racist approach to the contest.

    • Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D., Mich.), a white woman with ties to the CIA, is the “consensus candidate” among national Democrats in the race for U.S. Senate in Michigan, despite the fact that two black women, a black man (actor Hill Harper), and an Arab-American businessman are also seeking the nomination.

Legacy of shame: Schumer and the Democratic Party did the same thing in 2020, spending more than $50 million in support of white candidates running against black challengers in key U.S. Senate primaries.

    • “Sen. Schumer, for whatever reason, did not want an African American running for Senate in North Carolina,” said Erica Smith, a black woman who lost the Democratic primary to establishment choice Cal Cunningham, a white man.

    • In Texas, national Democrats backed M.J. Hegar in the primary over Royce West, a black state senator who accused party leaders of “trying to lock African Americans out of the process.”

Momala is truly awful. The only thing I can’t allege about her is corruption. So far. But she’s incompetent, poorly communicative, and about as likable as a box of Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit’s used rectal catheters.

💵 Only 34% of Americans said they approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, compared with 59% who disapprove, according to the poll, USA TODAY’s Joey Garrison and Maureen Groppe report.

Biden vs. Trump: And more Americans said they trust Trump, the 2024 Republican primary front-runner, than Biden to make the economy better by a 47%-36% margin. The spread is 46%-26% in Trump’s favor among independent voters.

How’s the economy? Seventy-six percent of independents and even 34% of Democrats said the economy is getting worse.

🥫 Eighty-four percent of Americans say their cost of living is rising, and food and groceries is the top concern.

A big winner of the UAW strike: Tesla

“A strike lasting longer than 4 weeks would be a body blow to the EV ambitions of GM and Ford in [the first half of 2024] and delay many aspects of this initial important EV push,” Ives said. “The clear winner in this Game of Thrones Battle between the UAW vs. GM/Ford is Tesla, which sits in a nonunion position.”
Ives noted that the lower EV costs that unionized automakers could be disruptive to Tesla. But any additional cost passed on to consumers because of concessions to the union — even it it’s just $3,000 per car — would hurt demand and help Tesla, Ives argued.

“Lets be clear: This is a potential nightmare situation for GM and Ford,” Ives added.

    “Just” $3,000 per car.

@19 SPD, like many police departments, is losing more cops than it’s hiring, and currently is about 500 officers below its 5-year staffing target. Commissioned personnel have dropped from ~1300 to ~940 over the last few years.

In the last couple years, people of color (blacks, Native Americans, etc.) make up about 40%-50% of new hires, but that’s not as impressive as it sounds when put in the context of the low number of hires.

The current mayor and police chief have expressed their desire to diversify the police force and address the kind of problems exemplified by the mold and dry rot at SPOG. That’s easier said than done. It seems only the wrong kind of people are attracted to police work, and they quit if they’re not allowed to misbehave.

Doctor Dumbfuck’s suggested solution to this dilemma is to let them misbehave, and look the other way when a rogue cop runs over a pedestrian and his colleagues then crack roadkill jokes. The rest of us seem to be confronted with choosing between letting criminals run the city, or letting these kinds of cops run the city. It’s not a situation most Seattle residents feel comfortable with or want to be in.

The long-anticipated strike by the UAW has begun. We have known for months that UAW would not engage in pattern bargaining this time, that the UAW’s last contract hurt them when Bidenflation was far higher than they had accounted for, and that the two sides are far, far apart. We have known for months that all three companies would be struck simultaneously but that the strikes would be targeted in order to minimize depletion of the UAW strike fund.

Companies have planned for a production interruption by packing in the inventory; there are 207 days’ worth of Jeep Gladiators available, for instance.

So everything that everybody has had months to prepare for has begun, with one struck plant affecting each company.

Why in the world, Mr. 10 Year Horizon Dumbfuck Rabbit, would you think that the intraday share price values of GM and Ford reflect accurately the effects of the strike on these corporations?

The military is supposed to be a meritocracy and this republican political shit show destroys that notion.

It wasn’t a meritocracy when Hunter Biden was commissioned, The Even Bigger Fucking Moron.

Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, resigned his direct commission as an ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve, it was reported recently. Although he was 43 years old at the time of his commissioning, three years over age, he sought an age waiver and got it.

    Read more at: https://www.sacbee.com/opinion/editorial-cartoons/jack-ohman/article3325079.html#storylink=cpy

The Even Bigger Fucking Moron, the piece was written by a guy who also sought an age waiver.

I tried to get an age waiver for a direct commission as a Naval Reserve public affairs officer in 2002. I was at least two years younger than Biden.

My ratings came back from my interviews: “Poster boy for Naval recruiting,” one of them said. “Lock to break out into the top third,” another said. I don’t know what Hunter Biden’s interview ratings were like. But mine were 9s and 10s. I passed the physical in August 2002. My commissioning board was to meet in October. Three weeks before the board met, I got a letter from Naval Recruiting Command in Millington, Tenn. It was from a lieutenant commander, noting that I was over 40, and, therefore, ineligible to get a commission.

The system didn’t work for this guy because his daddy wasn’t the vice president. But it worked for POS cokehead/methhead Hunter Biden.

So tell me more about how the military is supposed to be a meritocracy, The Even Bigger Fucking Moron.

Hunter Biden wasn’t the only participant in that Navy program with D.C. connections who got an age waiver.

“Reince Priebus was a 46-year-old attorney who had run the Republican Party and the White House when he decided to become a Navy Reserve ensign. To snag a special direct commission slot as a human resources officer, President Donald J. Trump’s former chief of staff had to beat out 37 candidates. And because he was closer to picking up an AARP card than a college diploma, he also needed an age waiver from the sea service. But in June, Vice President Mike Pence swore Priebus into uniform. …

“Priebus entered the Navy with no military experience. But that didn’t hurt the Wisconsin native’s push to become one of the finalists. In fact, he was the only one of the five picks who wasn’t a veteran of the armed forces. Several others who were not selected boasted beefier resumes when it came to military service or work in the field of human resources, according to the records.

“One candidate who didn’t make the cut had eight years of reserve and active-duty service, while another had spent 17 years in the Air Force reserves and 11 years as a human resources supervisor.”

    https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-navy/2019/10/25/the-people-priebus-beat-out-to-become-an-ensign/

I doubt Joe had anything to do with this coddling case. Rather, it smells more like Navy brass trying to curry favor with the politicians who write their budgets.

HA Commenting Policy

It may be hard to believe from the vile nature of the threads, but yes, we have a commenting policy. Comments containing libel, copyright violations, spam, blatant sock puppetry, and deliberate off-topic trolling are all strictly prohibited, and may be deleted on an entirely arbitrary, sporadic, and selective basis. And repeat offenders may be banned! This is my blog. Life isn’t fair.
