In a bizarre way, yes. He has a bit of a martyr complex. But he’s right about how the laws are ridiculous. If he wants to be the Jesus for this cause, getting sacrificed to the cross, he’s certainly doing it the right way.

If you smoke pot within a few feet of a cop, the cop will confiscate your stuff. Otherwise, they generally aren’t bothered and don’t go out of their way to bust people.

The amount of pot around and the generosity of the folk was awesome. The only times I saw cops being at all aggressive was when some of the folks in the cattle ques trying to move around the crowd pusyhed over a fence. Even then, most of the toughness came from staff.
I suspect anyone who got stopped for “possession” had found sone other way to piss of a cop.
