I made the mistake of tuning into KIRO radio this afternoon.
Dori Monson was so wigged out by the Burner degree story that he made anybody who thinks it is any big deal appear to be a complete idiot.

Perhaps the best political ad of this cycle.
Certainly the funniest.

Hmmmm, SOMEBODY wants to establish a theocracy but it isn’t conservatives….(have you guys opened your eyes to who Obama really is, yet?)

Yup – except that Obama is a constitutional law professor andknows the difference between church and state – so your out of context quote is….meaningless.
On another note – I got E-mailed a chain mail today from a right winger. It is a blatantly false quote that claims to be from Obama – but was actually written by a satirist. The quote is proported to have Obama saying all kinds of things that are unpatriotic. The person who sent it to me had no clue it was utterly false. I just feel sorry for the people who believe these smear campaign and cannot think or do research themselves.

Anybody who thinks it’s a big deal is a complete idiot.
Terrorist strikes on four American cities. Russia rolling into Eastern Europe. Israel hit by a nuclear bomb. Gay marriage in every state. The end of the Boy Scouts.
All are plausible scenarios if Democrat Barack Obama is elected president, according to a new addition to the campaign conversation called “Letter from 2012 in Obama’s America,” produced by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action.
The imagined look into the future is part of an escalation in rhetoric from Christian right activists who are trying to paint Obama in the worst possible terms as the campaign heads into the final stretch and polls show the Democrat ahead.
The terrorist strikes are probably Christian Holy Warriors blowing up health clinics and churches that preform gay marriages.
What bothers me the most is the “pray that the person he has decided is a witch dies”. That is most definitely not a Christian act.

I attended a Gregoire event in Seattle today. Al Gore headlined. If he could have spoken 8 years ago like he does now, the world would be different. The world would be a better place. He got robbed of the presidency, though having won the popular vote by over 500,000 votes. I’m just saying that if during that campaign, he could have spoken then like he does now, uh, he would have won in a landslide, and we would have had adult leadership over the past 8 years. Chris did great, too. And, my congressman, Jay Inslee. What is becoming incredibly apparent (let’s use some sports terminology), is how deep the Democratic bench is and how thin the Republican bench is. Hey you Rs out there, when Texas is in play in 2012 because of demographic changes, do you honestly believe you will survive as a party?

@11 Look at it this way: If we didn’t have a Republican Party, where would we put the Republicans?

The Republican “bench” has been hollowed out and sent to the big house:

How about we just put a bounty on them? Liberals must not only arm, but learn to shoot, don’t you think? And, of course, I (this is not an official party position) would think we should get to shoot them from aircraft. Maybe they get a headstart, then we get to go shoot.

I just hope and pray that we won’t be having this same conversation eight years from now.
Of course if it’s necessary that we do, I hope we’re still able.
