Rep. Brian Baird just told our DC Bureau that he will be voting yes on the health care bill. He was undecided before.
I’m shocked that the incumbent endorsing Denny Heck has come around, when it’s pretty clear that a vast majority of regular Democrats think we should pass the damn bill. Like Craig Pridemore has said all along. Hmm, maybe having more and better Democrats run in primaries really is a good thing.
At any rate, now we can go back to ignoring what’s his face.
it’s murder for the money:

Every retiring Democrat should vote yes. Heck, every retiring Republican should vote yes, and do some good for once instead of just obstructing in the dim, remote hope of power.
This vote will make or break political careers. It should end the career of every damn Republican. Not until true-blue Democrats hold all 465 seats in the House and all 100 seats in the Senate will America ever be safe for honest, hardworking, salt-of-the-earth Americans.
CNN reports that Rep. Bart Stupak has reached a deal with the White House on the wording of an executive order and will vote for the bill.
CNN’s current vote count is that 35 Democrats will vote “no,” 3 short of the 38 “nays” needed to defeat the bill. Democratic leaders say they “have the votes” to pass it.
No sign of the trolls today. They must be hiding in their bunkers.
Hey Roger, when did they add 30 seats to the House?
:-)
Rude Bastards
MSNBC reports that several Republican congressmen cheered a heckler who yelled “kill the bill!” from the House gallery as security guards led him out. House rules prohibit outbursts and disruptive behavior in the gallery. But then, when have Republicans ever respected rules, decorum, protocol, common decency, or for that matter, laws and constitutions?
According to MSNBC, “Rep. Barney Frank … called the cheering GOP lawmakers ‘clowns.'”

@6 It’s amazing what you can do sitting at a keyboard, isn’t it? Anybody have any objections to my giving Washington a couple extra senators while I’m at it?
