As expected, four-term Seattle City Councilmember Jan Drago announced this weekend that she will not be running for reelection this November, leaving at least two open seats in what is shaping up to be our most interesting council election in years.
Whether “interesting” equals “quality” when it comes to the final slate of candidates remains to be seen.

At the 43rd District Dems meeting two weeks ago, Sally Bagshaw let it be known that when the time comes, she’ll file for Drago’s seat.
Not that that’s really been a secret or anything. Sally’s known for quite some time that Jan wouldn’t run again.

Good Bye!
Nothing but wasted opportunities during her tenure – for small business and neighborhoods.
She was a disaster for most business owners I know, and her “leadership” didn’t fill a thimble most days.
Blech.

Those of us in pugetville, but outside Seattle are pulling for quality. But, we won’t believe it till we see it.
