I was a regular on a baseball Rob Neyer’s message board way back when, and there was a troll who seemed to delight in suggesting Neyer was… er… into children. However, this troll was so illiterate, he always accused him of being a “petafile.” I thought perhaps you had frequented that board too. It was my way of determining just how small the (online) world really is.
On the other hand, your reference to Petagine suggests I may have simply chosen a reference too obscure.
I’ve also frequented Baseball Primer/BTF, but not for a long time.
