thehim spews:
As long as he leaves here.
jpgee spews:
What a great idea, can we speed up the process any from our end? Looks like, according to the last polls, there is a mandate for him to leave……..
chardonnay spews:
WOW and despite the “MEMO”
Josef in Marummy Country spews:
Oh, please.
If you believe in fiscal responsibility, a strong America (or Britain), in public investment, and those kind of things all together – then you should rejoice like me for Tony Blair! Besides, I have a book of his famous speeches!
GOD SAVE THE PRIME MINISTER!!
(P.S. I voted Kerry-Edwards in November to get another Right Honorable Tony Blair.)
Diggindude spews:
A mandate, with 37%.
Just like dummy.
Donnageddon spews:
Well, at least since he is predicted to lose 2/3 of his majority, he will be less likely to answer another call from Bush on any new Speculative Oil Ventures in the Middle East.
Jeff B. spews:
The third win in the trifecta of Western reaction to terrorism. Excellent.
Nindid spews:
Char @3 You really should read a bit before shooting your mouth off. Blair’s victory was never in doubt… what was at issue was the size of the majority.
The Iraq war and, yes, the memo caused Labour to lose what looks to be like 100 seats of their majority. A good night for Labour was going to have their majority stay above 100 seats, and it now looks like it will be around 60. This is a big swing and Iraq and the memo are a large part of the reason. Look for Blair to resign within the year and give way to Gordon Brown as the new prime minister.
Diggindude spews:
Showing charred the facts, is like sharing a carmen electra centerfold, with stevie wonder.
GS spews:
Not surprising, see the majority of voting people in these two country’s believe Bush and Blair are the right choice!
Get over it! He has been elected two times and Blair now three times!
I see that the number three man in Bin Laden’ Army got captured! No where to run and no where to hide for these guys. One hell of a lot better than other administrations have done to keep these killers on the run!
Diggindude spews:
it wasn’t by choice, If you remeber, dummy had low ratings, and spent the whole year prior to 9/11, hangin out in crawford.
He was forced to do anything, by default.
Anyone could have attacked the wrong fuckin guy!!.
I have a hard time rewarding a guy for fuckin up.
Nindid spews:
GS @10 Actually it seems that a lot of people held their nose on Blair and voted for Labour because they could not vote for the Conservatives. The Conservatives are in such disarray that they could do little more then pick up the some of the solid conservative seats they had got swept out of in the last landslide – this would be a bit like the Republicans managing to recapture Idaho.
There was also a rather large defection to the Liberal Democrats from the Labour base. This is NOT a resounding victory for Blair, and marks something very much akin to a personal defeat though Labour does stay in power.
chardonnay spews:
nimrod @ 8
37% out of 15 candidates? lets look at all the results.
AllHatAndNoHorse spews:
Lost 63% of their seats. rightly so.
jpgee spews:
Yes, looks like a mandate to me…err… he got 37% of 61% of registered voters…..wow, 22.5% of the UK approve of Mr. Blair and his record. Quite impressive isn’t it. 22.5% for, 77.5% against or not caring. Our own GWB won his huge, overwhelming, incredible ‘mandate’ with a whopping 30.6% of our registered voters. Looks like UK is falling behind us in voter apathy
GS spews:
They both got their jobs now don’t they, and they sure as hell have the people who hit our buildings in 911 either in custody, or running and hiding their damn asses on a daily basis. Not much time left for planning attacks in the US I suspect. They have not nor will they quit hunting down the people responsible for that event. Those people have not been able to pull off another attack America in 4 years thanks to the will and pressures of these leaders!

Per ABC News
Senior Al Qaeda Leader’s Notebook Seized
Al-Libbi’s Notebook Believed to Contain Valuable Contact Information, Source Says
– U.S. officials are working feverishly to decipher numbers and apparent codes in a notebook retrieved from suspected al Qaeda leader Abu Faraj al-Libbi, ABC News has learned.
Al-Libbi — believed to be third in command of al Qaeda leader after Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri — was arrested by Pakistani authorities on Monday.
He is suspected of leading two failed assassination attempts on the life of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
Sources said officials believe al-Libbi’s seized notebook contains “hot” contact information. They said officials are hopeful the notebook contains useful information because al-Libbi was stunned when he was captured.
One senior official described al-Libbi as “shocked” and enraged.
“He thought he was invincible,” the source said. “He was caught with his pants down. This was not the time and place of his choosing.”
Al-Libbi was trying to destroy the notebook when he was apprehended, multiple sources said.

This is where I want all of al Qaeda leaders, and we elected leaders who are hunting them down like rabid dogs, which is more then these scum of the earth murderer’s deserve.
They screwed with the wrong cowboy! And I suspect after losing their afganistan home turf and being cave dwellers with no ability to plan anymore, they realize their power and organization is diminished!
AllHatAndNoHorse spews:
270 dead in 9 days, I dont think they’re afraid of the “cowboy”.
Dont you think they also read in the news about dummy running to the basement of the whitehouse last week, when there was a blip on the radar?
dummy fell into this war.
Up until the planes hitting the buildings, he spent more time golfing than he did in D.C.
He was a joke, and his ratings were about where they are now, in the toilet.
300 billion dollars, and well over 100,000 lives lost, and still the guy that attacked the u.s., could be anywhere.
He’s a joke to 1/2 the people in the u.s., and 75% of the world.
I dont feel blessed to have the “cowboy” speaking for me.
GS spews:
You forgot to mention how many attempts have been made in America since 911, so I will, ZERO! And there is a reason for that, because these fools don’t just get to plan all day they are too busy watching their asses! You also failed to mention that past administrations failed to stand up to Bin Ladin, even when he was handed to us on a plate. I and the majority of Americans and Brits are happy to see leaders with guts stand up for this nation.
AllHatAndNoHorse spews:
The majority?
You mean the 3x% mandate?
When was the last attack on america before 9/11?
8 years?
If they’ve shown us anything, its patience.
By this logic, can we expect an attack on america in 2010?
Several potentials have been caught, when is one going to make it through?
Security is shit in this country.
If they dont get to plan all day, how do you explain the coordination in attacks?
Past administrations, my ass! Shrub was briefed on everything he needed to know about bin laden, and ignored it, because he already had plans on iraq.
One thing you can take to the bank; shrubby has created a whole new population of future terrorists, much larger, and much more devoted to killing americans.
That will be his legacy.
