Perpetual candidate Dino Rossi acknowledged the inevitable this morning, announcing he had officially changed his name to “Dino The Mover.” Specializing in foreclosure and eviction related moves, a full line of moving services and supplies is available immediately from Rossi’s new website, DinoTheMover.com.
This week only, Dino The Mover is offering a 20% discount to Republican consultants moving in from out of state.
Chad Lupkes spews:
Is Dino really a good investment for the conservative activist community? I don’t think so, personally.
righton spews:
The enemy of my enemy (goldy) is my friend. So i’ll gladly vote for Rossi
don spews:
Yea, very amusing. Rossi “announced” via a video on his website. KIRO TV this morning sent a reporter to Everett to show us a shot of his website on a laptop.
Rossi’s spokesperson says that there would be no press conference or questions. Apparently they want the video release to speak for itself. What it speaks of is that that Rossi is afraid to answer questions or take a stand on issues that face this state – just like he did during his other failed candidacies.
Ryan spews:
I keep trying to figure out if he’s running as a Republican Party candidate or a Grand Old Party Party candidate…instead his website doesn’t say which party he represents.
YLB spews:
Yay! The return “my opponent, the incumbent”..
The only thing that could be better is BIAW-funded tv spots 24/7.. We’ll probably get those too..
slingshot spews:
You’re kidding? He announced his candidacy via his website? Was that advice from high paid Republican, out of state consultants?
The political strategy is already brimming with genious.
John425 spews:
“Dinothemover? Clever–if you’re a 5 year old. However, I can get down to that level too. Go to Pattythecarrot.com Or–see her on Sesame Street. She’s the carrot on a stick puppet.
correctnotright spews:
@7: John dumbass
Thanks for the third grade level attacks.
wow, and you wonder why rightwingnuts are considered stoopid….
Dino the mover is kind of funny because it references the perenial candidate Mike the mover..your little ditty references..nothing.
Do you even know how humor works?
Here is how.
We are laughing at your stupidity.
Deathfrogg spews:
@ #7
And people like you, prefer the stick over the carrot. At least for other people, while you sit in front of the TV watching them on FOX.
Mr. Cynical spews:
Rossi could not have picked a better day to announce!
Oba-Mao has allowed the National Debt to hit $13 TRILLION…up from $9.6 TRILLION at the end of 2008.
Oba-Mao has also hit his all-time low in the polls. Not so amazingly, his own Democrat Party is turning on him! Most Democrats are about private sector, living wage jobs and opportunities to better themselves. Oba-Mao and the New Age Progressives are about less opportunities and Massive Deficit Spending.

What fabulous timing by Rossi.
Great to declare when your opponent is weakest!
maureeno spews:
to enter a race via video may be a sign of a
lack of the heart and guts a candidate needs to win
Mary Plante spews:
Rossi announces on the same day that polls show US voters now prefer a Democratic to a Republican Congress by 42% to 36% — an eight point swing since May 1st. I think Rossi peaked in February before he declared. Instead of having the wind at his back like he hope, he is spitting into the wind again. Here’s to his third defeat. Cheers.
Mr. Cynical spews:
The issues differentiating Rossi & Murray are clear–And Murray has a lengthy voting record, unlike Oba-Mao did with voters more likely than ever to look at those votes–
1) Porkulous Package.
2) Bailouts
3) Health Care
4) Massive deficit spending.
Hey, the national Debt just hit $13 TRILLION under Patty’s watch. Unfunded liabilities are over $110 TRILLION, under Patty’s watch.
Keep bashing the Tea Party…
You Leftist Pinheaded Klowns are going to get your asses kicked because you choose and continue to ridicule those who disagree with those in power. HUGE MISTAKE! You are even alienating more moderate members of your own Party who are sick of the Hope & Change bullshit.
I have never seen Consitutional Conservatives more motivated and angry.
Keep playing the race card.
Oba-Mao’s henchmen have been doing it…only making matters worse.
And another thing—
The BP oil spill is Oba-Mao’s Katrina.
34 days of words and no actions while things get progressively worse!!
Oba-Mao will try to bash BP…it’s his only hope.
But Americans will ask…where were you Mr. Prezident??
MISSING IN ACTION!!
Blathering about BP rather than taking control of the situation.
Oba-Mao’s inexperience and hot rhetoric will make him a huge target in 2012….and something like poison ivy for any Dems he tries to help in 2010.
Hugging Oba-Mao is like hugging a cactus!

Sigh! There’s just no end to the stoopid, is there?
Steve spews:
Obama obviously should have unleashed the ulta-secret Naval Undersea Well-Capping Commando Squids weeks ago.
YLB spews:
Bobby Jindal said BP was culpable but I’m sure Southerners who like seafood will blame it on the man of color anyway, if not Obama then Jindal.
Suprise me, O Great South.. Blame it on BP and their greed.
Dr. Dre spews:
@18…so you are saying that there are no black southerners who like seafood?
racist YLB strikes again….
YLB spews:
19 – No, YOU are saying that.
The lobotomized bigot strikes again..
YLB spews:
Funny how the lobotomized bigot stands tall for greed with silly accusations of racism and euphemisms like “industrial accident”.
A greedy diminished man defending his beloved rapacious tribe of greedheads.
rhp6033 spews:
Bobby Jindal (R Gov. LA) repeatedly called upon a reduction of the federal government, so it could “get out of the way” and “empower” private employers to create jobs.
Well, during the Bush administration the federal goverment sure got out of the way of BP drilling deep-water wells in the Gulf! Along the way they approved the absence of safety precautions (insisted upon by the British and Norwegian goverments for North-Sea drilling), with environmental waivers excusing BP from many inspections and reporting requirements. The CMM inspector who inspected the TransOcean rig which caught fire and sunk, causing this disasterous oil spill, was actually applying for a job with TransOcean at the same time.
Of course, now that the oil spill is threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Lousianna voters, Jindall is now loudly complaining that the federal government isn’t doing enough to protect Lousianna coastline from the effects of the spill.

The unemployment number is what people actually care about. The average voter could give a shit about the deficit. The deficit is an abstract issue for anyone who isn’t an economist. To the extent ordinary people care it is more a sign of personal economic uncertainty.
Oh and where the hell were all of you deficit hawks when President Bush was taking us from a surplus to one of the largest deficits in history?
YLB spews:
Yep, that drilly baby drilly thing worked out great for those right wingers in the Gulf Coast.
YLB spews:
They were watching swarthy people with funny last names getting killed on Faux News.
Chris Stefan spews:
Gotta love the wingnuts who think their hero of the moment “Dino the mover” is going to somehow topple a popular incumbent in a democratic leaning state.
Dino seems to be trying his version of the Susan Hutchison strategy: Don’t actually say you are a Republican, speak in soundbite platitudes, avoid the press, avoid saying anything where your base and independent voters might not see eye-to-eye.
With any luck the other Republicans in the race will do the work of softening Dino up a bit in the next couple of months.
I’m not sure if it is part of the Murray camp’s strategy but having the Governor go after Rossi is brilliant. It gets the attack out there without Murray getting tarnished for going negative.
Chris Stefan spews:
@25
Or masturbating to “24” reruns.
Steve spews:
“Oh and where the hell were all of you deficit hawks when President Bush was taking us from a surplus to one of the largest deficits in history?”
They were here cheerleading, of course.
YLB spews:
23 – People are angry because they wanted to be bailed out – not Wall Street.
However the truth is that bailing out Wall Street was the cheapest thing the government could do. Temporary nationalization was out of the question. Taking over Wall Street and then breaking it up. It takes more time, is error-prone and is more expensive. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t
Now the government is so broke, they’re reduced to half-measures. A weak jobs bill here and no will to raise taxes there…
Worldwide – currency values are way out of whack..
Japan, the U.S. and the Euro Zone is on the ropes in relation to the rest of Asia.
Asian currencies must rise in relation to the yen, the dollar and the Euro to correct trade imbalances.
This country has to tax its rich in order to improve the country’s competitiveness. That means education, infrastructure, health care.. Do Canadian and European manufacturers worry about health care costs?
Then Wall Street should be re-regulated to prevent any more “too big to fail” scenarios…
rhp6033 spews:
The Republicans are like arsonists. They lit the fires of economic collapse by pushing for dangerous deregulation at every turn, then appointing incompetents to important government functions. Then they complain that the fire dept. is spending too much to put out the fire.

Speaking of budgets…
In your libertarian utopia, who pays for the administration of elections and the courts?

Why the Invisible Hand of course!

Re: Mr. Cynical’s question
I refered to Quinnipiac Poll released May 25 which showed an 8 point swing toward the Ds compared to their May 4th poll results.
The Research 2000 poll shows the generic ballot tied on their most recent polling while Gallup found a 1 point Democratic advantage.
A swing toward the Democrats in generic ballot polling was also measured in IPSOS/McClatchy and AP/Gfk May polling.
What sets Quinnipiac apart from the others who poll on generic ballot is that they use live students rather than automated IRV calling and include cell phone as well as landlines. Pew Foundation research shows that landline-only polling contributes a 3-7 point conservative bias to polls.
