Last week’s contest was won by milwhcky. It was South Bend, IN on the campus of Notre Dame.
This week’s is a random location from Google Maps’ 45 degree views, good luck!

The key perhaps is identifying the joint across the street from the Mickey D’s…
I have my suspicions but so far haven’t turned up anything..
milwhcky spews:
I’m guessing it is an older Dairy Queen. I’ve seen some with similar A-frame style buildings, but I’m not finding a match.
milwhcky spews:
I was right. It is a DQ.
Portland, Oregon

3 – I thought it might be Weinerschnitzel but no some have yellow roofs and the red roofs have a mostly different style..
The sign looks a little like an In’n’Out but there’s no discernible drive-through and the shadow definitely screams DQ..
I was hoping it wasn’t a DQ – there’s lots of those.
milwhcky spews:
Many DQ’s have a “decapitated” A-frame on their store’s facade.
Example
Perhaps as the company grew, they found issues with building the tall stores and went with a single level instead.
I know I’ve seen the A-frame stores around the midwest in my lifetime, but in today’s research, I couldn’t find one near me. There are a few similar designs in Florida.

I stand in awe of the local expertise on fastfooderies.
