Last week’s contest was a tough one, still unsolved as of Wednesday night. It was Brockton, MA.
This week’s contest is back to Google Maps. Next Sunday, something a little different…
Good luck!

I am having a hard time finding a climate with palm trees and that kinds of rooflines I see in the picture. The large building with the cupola-looking structure on top is an older building and probably the residue of a colonial heritage. I want to say it is French inspired.
Many of the places I looked in the zone which would support palm trees and which were former colonies have low quality photos.

@1 Try Egypt.

Lee, you’ll need to fix the link to last week’s answer. If you have a search parameter in the map’s search box, it will center the view on the search result, in this case, “Brockton, MA”.

Last week’s location:

I was correct in that it was one of the oldest views in Bing. The original photography was too narrow to fill a typical wide-screen monitor window.

Thanks, looks like it’s working now.

Yep, this one is a little off the beaten path. And this is with Google, so they have different coverage in different parts of the world.

Probably misspelling this, but it’s Valparaiso, Chile.
Helps that Google only has a handful of these down in South America.

That’s it! Good win!
I’ve been waiting forever to be able to expand out where I can choose images from, that’s why I’m curious to see what Google is doing.
