If you know someone at Paccar, ask him who has that paint scheme.

I know what the trucks are used for… now I just have to find them on the map.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@2 Special cargo of some sort — Mrs. Fields Cookies?

The trucks are government owned. I’m not having any luck pinpointing where these are parked.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@4 Aha — they’re transporting donuts to police stations.

Aston Royal Mail Delivery Office in Birmingham, England. Having spent some time across The Pond many years ago, I also recognized the trucks. It had to be one of the Royal Mail’s bigger facilities, and the fact that Google only has 45 degree maps for a handful of UK cities sped up the process.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@7 I should’ve known! The steering wheels on the right sides of the cabs are a dead giveaway.*
* I assume that, in the UK, the steering wheels on the local delivery trucks are on the left side so the postman can reach the mailboxes.

Good win!

Nice work, Geoduck. After searching all of their main distribution centers, I looked at dozens of random delivery stations before reaching my quitting point of frustration.
@8
It’s my understanding that the Royal Mail vehicles are all right-hand drive (opposite from the curb). Curbside mail boxes are uncommon in the UK. Carriers walk or bike to each building and dismount from their truck for remote locations.
By the way, I am a rural mail carrier for the USPS, so I was really itching to win this one when I saw the pic.
Geoduck spews:
Another interesting UK mail fact- while they will feed the incoming mail through a slot in your front door, they don’t pick up the outgoing stuff; you have trudge over to the nearest red “pillar box” and drop your letters off. This makes the US box with the little red flag somewhat exotic for folks from the UK.
