Last week’s winner was our good friend from the early days of this contest, Mlc1us, who guessed the correct answer of Washington, DC (link here). Here’s this week’s, good luck!
It’s a Costco store in the Pacific Northwest. The landscaping trees are conifers.

The free-spending deficit-crazy Republicans have suddenly gotten religion. Now that Obama is spending as much on bailouts as they did, but is spending it on unemployment benefits and food stamps, they think we should balance the budget on the backs of the people their policies made jobless and hungry.

I think there’s something to be said against government intervention to save the economy. As Republicans own most of the businesses and corporate shares, we should let it all go under so they’ll have to get jobs in the Emerging Economy pulling oxcarts for 50 cents a day like the rest of us.

You agree with me. Let the failing business fail. If there is a need for their service/product another company will fill the void.
As Republicans own most of the businesses and corporate shares,
If you believe that to be true, explain why democratics don’t own businesses.

There are millions of democratics earning more than 50 cents a day. Why aren’t you one of them?
Because I get tax breaks for not working, so why should I work?

Janet @ 10: Nope, Roger just figured out how to live like a Republican. Come to think of it, I guess that does make him a leach.

By the way, China sold more private automobiles last year than were sold in the U.S. (all makes and models).
Currently car ownership in China, in proportion to the population, is the same as in the U.S. in 1910. But that doesn’t include the considerable number of motercycles on the road (which outnumber cars), nor does it include the numerous vehicles ostensibly owned by companies or the government which are actually used primarily by individuals.

I knew it had to be western U.S. somehow, but that didn’t stop me from searching through a bunch of eastern, midwest and southern states. Sheesh!
