Last week’s contest was won by wes.in.wa. It was Porto, Portugal.
This week’s contest is related to a TV show or a movie, good luck!
Programming Note: My life is generally uneventful enough that I can ensure a contest will be posted every Sunday at noon, but as my wife is due sometime in April with our second child, if a Sunday passes without a contest, you’ll know why…
Roger Rabbit spews:
See the truck in the lower right? Even 1-percenters spew garbage. In fact, more than the rest of us! In a neighborhood like this, you need 1 garbage truck for every 5 McMansions just to haul off the wine bottles. There’s so much “footprint” there’s no room for grass. Must be dreary to live in a concrete jungle like this place, wherever it is.
Whaddya gonna name it, Lee?
YLB spews:
Looks like this was taken with a phone cam..
Hmmm.. I’m thinking Project X but the trees are wrong..
Tough one.
YLB spews:
And the apartment building is a bit out of place.
Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:
The red tile roof and the Italian cypress trees makes me think So. Cal.
Real Housewives?
Desperate Housewives?
Brady Bunch?
Michael spews:
Ugly neighborhood wherever it is.
Lee spews:
@1
The name is still classified…
wes.in.wa spews:
@4 Just being a movie or TV location makes me think So Cal… in which case it might be easier to find the place first, then look up who used the location.
Note the shadows. Not likely we’re looking north, unless we’re in Australia.
Poster Child spews:
Argh. I’ve eaten enough time on this. My guess, after googling top grossing movies is that it’s somewhere in the vicinity of the Virginia Country club in Los Cerritos (Long Beach), CA as that’s where the American Pie movies were apparently shot and they’ve got a new one in 2nd place.
Despite the very Australian-looking “Ute” facing the wrong way, the “STOP” stenciled on the road indicates it’s not AUS, so I think the shadows indicate we’re not looking North. I just couldn’t find the garbage truck.
Lee spews:
Since this one is proving to be pretty tough, some clues…
– It’s a current and popular TV show
– The view is not facing north
Roger Rabbit spews:
I don’t own a TV.
Coosboy spews:
