It’s not the Morganza Spillway. It’s the one to Lake Ponchartrain further south, on the east/north side of the river rather than on the west/south side of the river where the Morganza Spillway dumps into the Atchafalaya River basin.

I tried to find the Morganza Spillway first, but it’s in BFE, no Bird’s Eye Views there…

Both spillways were in the news because they weren’t sure which ones would need to be opened.
The one in the picture is Bonnet Carré Spillway into Lake Ponchartrain was opened some time before the Morganza Spillway.
