A couple days after the primary, Dave Reichert pissed off more than a few members of the press by issuing a media advisory promising a “major announcement,” only to produce delusional fringe “Democratic” challenger Jim Vaughn at the podium, offering his enthusiastic endorsement.
Well, since then, Vaughn and his bride Sally Daugherty have been regulars in the comment threads here on HA, leaving increasingly insulting and bizarre commentary, such as this doozy from earlier today:

Vaughn claims to be a Democrat, but what he really is, is a sore loser and an asshole, and I’m guessing, more than a touch crazy. But since Reichert called a press conference to announce Vaughn’s endorsement, I can only assume that Vaughn speaks for the Reichert campaign.
I suppose that’s bipartisanship, Dave Reichert style.
With the seriously insane endorsing him, Dave certainly doesn’t need to worry.
Reichert should disassociate and repudiate himself from Jim Vaughn rhetoric, or does he support such vile talk?

One thing that I want to make clear is that I apologize for my remark that Darcy get a smoke alarm. My off handed comment was trying to point out that if she is not taking safety precautions to protect her family, how can we expect her to take care and protect the voters. I recognize the devastation that the fire created and I do in fact sympathize for Darcy. Again I apologize for the comment. I picked the wrong time and the wrong place.

I hope everybody understands the fraud the Seattle Times perpetrated on voters this morning. Yesterday, the NRCC shopped around this bullshit gotcha story….The Times delivered Reichert a steaming pile of shit, neatly tied up in a ribbon.

When I hear that they (kid and parents) had adjoining rooms yet the adults didn’t hear a smoke detector going off ?(said their son woke them up and made no mention of smoke alarms going off), my BS alert goes off-
Likely scenario: the son was roused from sleep by a fire starting in his room (sparking,smoke smell, etc) while Mum and pa were slumbering next door with dead batteries in their homes smoke detectors.
If that’s the leadership she’d show in the other Washington, the 8th district would be better off sending son Henry instead as he appears to have the brains in the family.
