What Michael says here. The Democratic Party needs to do a better job policing ourselves enabling rape culture. We fucked up big time in that instance. And it’s hardly a one -off.

This isn’t to say we’re as bad as or worse than the Republicans — they literally voted for a sexual assailant with a dozen known victims because he’s a sexual assailant. But we have to be a lot better.

When I unpacked after my vacation, I realized that I have 4 half-used travel size toothpaste tubes. I always buy a new one for my vacation. It feels wasteful, but I don’t want to run out on my trip. And I can’t really judge how much is left. So I think I ‘m going to just use them not on vacation.

Anyway, most Republicans hate you and want you to die for want of healthcare.

I am a rather slow reader. As such, I’m usually pretty quick to give up on a book that I don’t dig. Recently, a friend recommended a book that has taken me a week to read 2 chapters. So at what point do I bail without being an asshole?

I think I’m going to use my Democracy Vouchers this week. The problem is that the only competitive race is the one I care the least about. I’d be happy with either 8th District candidate. I don’t know, would it be strange to give one each to Grant and Mosqueda? Probably. Will I do it? Leaning toward it.

People keep wondering how far Trump will have to go before his supporters have had enough. And I think the answer is never. Trump’s supporters support him because he’s a violent criminal who supports other violent criminals. Of course racism is part of it. But they also support him because he assaults women. So there is no too racist, too violent, too criminal.

It’s good to be back in Seattle. I’ve been back a few days, but I’m still pretty exhausted.

I quite enjoyed DC. Thanks for the suggestions and such. I took the train up to New Hampshire yesterday. It’s pretty convenient if you have family to pick you up.

I live in the airport now. My flight was cancelled, but I didn’t realize it until I was already here. So now I have several hours here.

I hope all your candidates won. Congrats if they did, and commiserations if they didn’t. And mmmmmmm if they’re still too close to call.

I’m going on vacation pretty soon. So my production of nonsense will sink even more. Anyone have any idea what to do in DC or rural New Hampshire?

I mentioned a while ago that I’m slowly rereading Kurt Vonnegut’s works. It has mostly held up, but it’s more of its time than I remember. And more sexist.

That said, I am still enjoying it. I picked up Hocus Pocus from the library the other day, and I known that I read it as a teenager, but I don’t remember anything beyond the format and one joke.
