Oh, yeah, I put those up on this website sometimes.

Good morning to the 70% of King County residents 16 years old and above who are vaccinated with either the Johnson and Johnson shot or the second of the 2-shot vaccines. It means that in 2 weeks we’ll have 70% of people with full immunity. So things like mask mandates can ease off.
I am proud to live in a county that was able to do that relatively quickly. It has been a real drag, this past year. But of course there remains a lot of work.
So, please, everyone else, get vaccinated if you can.

Good morning to the new terminal cranes only. It was too rainy to go out and have a look myself, but I love seeing the pictures. I hope it’s a boon to shipping in the region.
Also, probably unrelated, but has it seemed to anyone else that there are a lot of cargo ships hanging out in the Puget Sound? Is this actually happening, or just my imagination? The last time I can recall so many ships was the West Coast Longshoremen striking.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t already.

Jeez, just let the CHOP Art people have their event. Honestly, whatever you think of CHOP, or how it ended, celebrate the art. Or just let other people celebrate it. You actually have the ability to ignore it if you don’t like it.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

Oh shoot. I forgot to write this until now. Sorry.
Anyway, there’s still time to wash your hands right now and to get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

– Is anyone else following the King County vaccine tracker on Twitter? I love seeing the updates.
– Anyone else excited about taking the bus to a trail? Has anyone done it in the past?

Look, I think you should get vaccinated because it will stop or slow down a horrible disease. Because it makes you much much much less likely to pass that disease on to your friends and family, to your neighbors, and to a suffering world. But if a chance of winning the vaccine lottery is what gets the shot in your arm, it has the same effect. And who couldn’t use the money? So good luck on that front.
And you can win the wash your hands right now lottery. The prize is diseases dying in the sink, and going down the drain.

Darryl noted yesterday that Drinking Liberally is back. It is so great to be vaccinated. To touch other people. Hell, even not having to worry about the dingy bathroom is a blessing. It’s great to be back with people.
I also took the bus for the first time in over a year. And am back to work from work. The return to normal is happening so quickly. It’s great.
If you haven’t been vaccinated, you should. It’s free. The more people get vaccinated the better for everyone. Let’s stop this horrible virus.
Also, please wash your hands right now.

It’s 2 weeks after my second shot today. Hell yeah. We’re all touching each other’s eyes. Or whatever normal human contact is. I forget. But anyway, it’s pretty fantastic. I haven’t even rolled out of bed yet, but I feel a sense of liberation.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

I really like that Seattle is always changing. Like, you can definitely complain about Amazon and expensive housing. But there isn’t a mythical time when Seattle was better. There are real problems to fix, but I am glad that we’re doing it in a city with a $15 minimum wage, and a growing public transportation system.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

I am excited for Bellevue’s Grand Connection. It seems like a fun ride when it’s all complete.

Good morning. Do you live in King County? Are you behind on rent or utilities? Well, the county is going to help people with rent. So you might as well apply if you’re eligible.
And for goodness sake, wash your hands right now, and take the vaccine as soon as you can.

I generally don’t like the line item veto. But as long as it’s being used, it can go to better housing laws (first item). More accessory dwelling units are great for density. I will be glad if there are more. I know people who lived in them right out of college who wouldn’t have been able to afford their neighborhood otherwise.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

Got my second shot on Wednesday. Since a lot of people are talking about side effects, I should mention that mine were pretty mild. I felt like I needed a nap all day. Then I took one, and felt fine. My arm wasn’t even sore. I think mild or no side effects is probably more common than you might think based (understandably) on how people report on them, especially on social media.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now and get vaccinated if you haven’t yet.

It’s pretty exciting when there’s progressive legislation that you weren’t aware of until it already passed. What a great thing that agricultural workers will have the same overtime rights as the rest of the state.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now, and get vaccinated if you haven’t already.
