In 2016 Trump won PA by 44,000 votes, leading Clinton among seniors by 10 percent and suburban voters by 8 percent. But those 44,000 votes, and those big leads among key demographics, amounted to only a 0.72% margin of victory.
Now today, as in 2016, the insider wisdom among Trumpalos and GOP leaders is that the pre-election polling in PA is wrong. They insist that it under counts aggrieved, Oxy-addicted trailerbillies who maybe aren’t the most consistent voters. And Trump has some strong advantages among these voters going way back. It’s a group of voters who consistently conflate “economic” issues with concerns and grievances about race and ethnicity. In other words, it’s a group of voters who are especially prone to by sympathetic to the idea that, whatever concerns they may have about their own personal economy, they are the result of too many “Gimmee-Gimmees” with the wrong skin tone.
The strategy is essentially the same one Trump followed in 2016 to unprecedented success. But in 2020 the numbers, even if you discount polling, are terribly daunting. Having flipped support among senior and suburban voters in the state with one of the highest percentage of both, Biden has deprived Trump of his party base. So the lift he must rely upon turning out the trailer trash is much, much heavier. And that brings us back to that 0.72% margin in 2016.
Recent polling (which may be weak, but the question is how weak?) has Biden leading Trump among suburban voters by 26% and among seniors by 7%. Thats a 34 point and 17 point reversal respectively from 2016. Even if you cut those swings in half, in a state with Pennsylvania’s demographics it means Trump2020 is tasked with finding and motivating something like a half a million new, angry Trumpalo Trailerbillies, sobering them up, getting them registered, charging their mobility scooters, swapping their colostomy bags, and leading them to their polling places.
I don’t have any doubt at all that if Trump2020 can find these people and get them to cast ballots they will cast ballots for Trump in the fall. To me it’s a question of turnout efficiency and sheer numbers. Trump2020 is leaning hard on a demographic that is about as bad at voting consistently as people under 30. And partly that’s because a giant chunk of the “new” white non-college voters they have to target are under 30. Even with unmatched ad spending and GOTV ground game, the numbers just might not be there.

It was Alexander Downer, the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom who ultimately tipped the FBI off. He wasn’t being used as anything except his job title. But as a former Minister for Foreign Affairs to a Five Eyes nation he had more than cordial relations with counterintelligence officers in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and the FBI. And apparently he judged it in Australia’s national interest, but also in the US national interest to make the FBI aware of what Papadopolous had shared with him about what Putin had been up to. That was all in May. Papadapolous had been swanning around with the Russians already for three months by then.
Papadopolous was invited to further incriminate himself months later in September by FBI informants. And it wasn’t Halper initially. Halper had met with Page and Clovis. Papadopolous was judged to be a horny drunk. So they sent him a woman. Point in all this is it all happened after Downer had alerted the FBI that Putin was tunneling into the Trump campaign. And so it was all after what would become Crossfire Hurricane was already underway.
Puddy, The Q Clearance Cat Lady, and Lindsay Graham all deliberately try to confuse and obscure the precise timeline because what the timeline shows is: a campaign staffed with inexperienced and incompetent climbers all scrambling for position and increasingly involving themselves with Russian spies; and FBI counterintelligence program increasingly alarmed by reports from credible allies about what Putin was up to.
Like most operations we’ve seen from Trump, the campaign was highly transactional, operated with lots of demands but few controls and very little oversight. It was a perfect hunting ground for Putin and any other foreigner with enough power and influence to be granted access. The FBI used that greed, transactionalism, and lack of control and oversight in order to learn how far into the campaign the Russians had penetrated.

In 05 Mark Mullet, an old school fiscal conservative Republican who runs as a Democrat because the party is too damn crazy on the social issues and the racism trails on the first drop.
Mark has dreams of one day being a centrist Governor but those plans would probably get derailed by losing his Senate seat as a young Congressman.
There is no Republican in the race so he’ll need to work hard in a General election and you’d think the GOP voters will go with him over a more progressive candidate.

Papadopoulos did plead guilty on Oct. 5, 2017 to making false statements about his interactions with Joseph Mifsud, a Maltese professor. We now know Mifsud was a paid FBI spy who also helped set up George Papadopoulos! What’s even more curious is Mifsud lied to the FBI but Mueller decided not to indict him. Why? Cause he was on the payroll like Stefan Halper! Now why is that? Because we learned Mifsud was a FBI plant too.

Read Downer’s statement. Downer disavows any information of unlawful activity from Trump2016. But plenty of unlawful activity from Putin and his GRU stooges. At this point there’s no credible debate at all surrounding Russia’s criminal activities. They’ve practically admitted it. And PRISM capture has confirmed it. They breached servers and stole documents. They offered to release those documents to assist the Trump campaign. These are true things that Puddy does not deny.
And these are certainly things that would justify the commencement of a lawful counterintelligence investigation by the FBI – at least they are when law abiding, uncorrupted Real American Patriots are in charge. The commencement of a lawful counterintelligence investigation would naturally lead to seeking warrants. The Trump2016 campaign had opportunities to cooperate and correct the record on their terms. They had opportunities to inform the FBI about what they knew Putin was up to. What did they do?
They lied. In the media, to the voters, to each other. They told every conceivable lie they could to deceive and misdirect. Trump lied about his financial entanglements with Russia. Manafort lied about his financial entanglements with Russia and Ukraine. Gates lied. Papadopolous lied. Cohen lied. Page lied. Flynn lied. They refused to testify on the record and stalled.
Of course the FBI sought warrants. The people you would normally have expected to cooperate in defending the United States from foreign attack instead chose to lie. Before Trump2016 nobody would have ever imagined that the campaign for a major party nominee for President would not only decline to help, but would instead actively misdirect and resist such an investigation.
Partisanship and fear of women may be enough for Puddy to justify such lies and distortions. But the next time a foreign adversary comes knocking on our election door, Real Patriotic Americans who place our sovereign interest first will not want people like that anywhere in reach of government. These people are too corrupt and too corruptible.
