Pretty neat that they have already prepared a “response” to something they haven’t even seen yet.
It’s almost like they already know what’s in the report and how best to obscure and obstruct any conclusions or findings. Almost like they know what they did.
Sadly, most of the media will follow this pattern of corruption and stupidity. Most editors and producers already have teams working on stories and coverage before even reading the fucking thing. They are drawing conclusions right now and committing them to ink and digits. Stupid. And people who rely on their analysis will be agreeing to be stupid.
If it’s the kind of report I’d expect from a DOJ attorney under the expectations set forth in the statute and the authorizing memos, it will require careful reading over days, referencing footnotes, and circling back to the text repeatedly in order to draw any kind of speculative conclusions. Anybody who isn’t interested in doing that, and who instead chooses to rely on a media network of chubby catalog models and failed novelists to do it for them will get exactly what they deserve.
None of the GJ info will be in it. And probably all of the counter intelligence components surrounding the campaign’s extensive interactions with Russian spies will be blanked out. Details about decisions over outside referrals would be removed except perhaps for the three that have already been tried and/or pleaded – Cohen, Patten, and Kian. Subjects not named in specific indictments, or referred to other offices may well be missing entirely, or only mentioned anonymously. But even to the extent that what little is there gives clues, there will be temptation to draw overly broad conclusions about those not named.
We don’t need this heavily redacted report to conclude that the Republican Party has abandoned it’s national loyalty and rejected the rule of law in favor of tribalism. That fact has been played out in Congress daily ever since the election. Nor do we need it to conclude that the bankrupted casino sleaze they nominated to be President is a crook. His record is pretty clear. But the precise details of all that treason and corruption will take time to understand. And seeing the connections between individuals and events not detailed in indictments or pending prosecutions will require careful study.

Sure, first off it’s FICTIONAL. So they are baiting idiots to join in a debate with Murphy Brown. Moreover, they are doing it to drive eyeballs. These streaming services are all pouring into a saturated media space fighting to build and retain audience. And players like CBS are arriving late to the party. It’ll only get more outrageous.
But the attitude they are expressing is a fundamentally lazy one. It caters to dilettante, virtue signaling propeller heads more than half of whom don’t even bother to vote. “Punching a Nazi” gives them permission to resume curating their Insta, MMP gaming, Googling themselves, and searching their feed for the next Fyre Festival.
White supremacy, racism, bigotry, Nazism and modern conservatism are all fundamentally dumb. Obviously so. It doesn’t take violence to belittle and humiliate a Nazi.

It’s easy. Trivial really. We see it on these threads and elsewhere every single day. But it does require a little bit of intelligence and a small effort at thinking things through. The reason Republicans are so incredibly dumb is because they too refuse to think their bullshit through. The GOP gives them permission to let go of thinking. But smart civics requires a little bit of thinking. Not violence or threats of violence. Just rational thought.
