A remorseful blogger apologizes for making Sarah Palin resign. I can’t even guess what’s going to happen next in this train wreck. Will some major ethics violation be revealed? Will she change her mind about resigning and just pretend on the 24th that she never actually quit? With someone this nuts, anything is possible.

Since we worked our ass off to elect a compassionate president, we should start showing a little compassion ourselves. First we should put Republicans on the endangered species list. Then we should fund Republican Studies departments at major universities. The first discipline that should be developed is the study of extinct Republican policies and fossilized Republican values, which should be called Palintology.

Maybe Lee will start the next HA Libtardo search for another “M. Thomas Eisenstadt”, McCain adviser.

I think she’s just negated the need for any further ethics investigations.

I was thinking this weekend about what happened in San Francisco when Dan White resigned and then changed his mind. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

Lee, why don’t you let the bong cool down. Go make some free Mumia signs or something.

Thanks for the link – This gets the “Paragraph of the Week” award:
Palin became a household name in 2008, when a malignant meat sack full of liquid Viagra and barely-sublimated hostility towards women and Asians chose her as its running mate. Loquacious former beauty queen and dog counter Sarah, along with laconic husband Todd, boarded the flooded submarine of the McCain campaign just as it was sinking to crush depth.
High-larious

That was funny! Trolls don’t understand lib humor. They prefer Coulter humor. To them a joke isn’t funny unless someone dies in it.
Roger Rabbit spews:
This keeps getting weirder and weirder. From the Anchorage Daily News:
“The New York Times and Washington Post haven’t written anything about this, but Van Flein said he believed they were asking questions. ‘What I’ve been informed is that they’ve been interviewing people in Wasilla about this, and have tried to interview the governor’s parents about it,’ Van Flein said.”
In other words, Palin’s attorney is threatening to sue newspapers that haven’t published anything simply because they’re interviewing people.

Perhaps this is a glimpse of what a Palin regime would look like if this nut ever got hold of serious power.

@2, 3 & 6 — Poor trolls!! Their icon is a laughingstock and they don’t know what to do!! I love watching them writhe in agony!!
Troll spews:
@9
Huh? A laughingstock? Dems are just manufacturing this to be more than it is. All she did was step down. She said she didn’t want to be an ineffective lame-duck just staying till the end to collect the paychecks. I admire that.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@11 We didn’t manufacture Van Flein’s absurd threats. We didn’t have to. We can count on Republicans to come up with such absurdities entirely by themselves.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@11 (continued) Doesn’t it strike you as odd that a politician is threatening to sue newspapers simply because their reporters are asking questions about her? People like you worship this woman. Yes, you GOPers have descended into absurdity.

Let’s see if we can get Goldy’s daughter raped during the 7th innng stretch. Let’s also investigate to see if that is really Goldy’s kid or is she a kidnap victim. Let’s also file 15 ethics complaints against Goldy for being an asshat and to really get things going- we’ll make sure everybody knows he’s under-educated, inarticulate and a deadbeat. And…he still shares a bed with his mother.
Meanwhile…Rogerwabbitt plays with his vagina and thinks the world is swell.

She said she didn’t want to be an ineffective lame-duck just staying till the end to collect the paychecks. I admire that.
Let’s see… Until she announced that she was running away from her duties, she wasn’t a ‘lame duck’ in any sense of the phrase. However, the second she made herself a ‘lame duck’ by abdicating her responsibilities, she became more ‘admirable’ in the eyes of the nutcase brigade.
Gotta love the circular logic of the fascists. Spinning rightward in an ever decreasing spiral of right wing apologia makes them more hysterical by the moment.
Troll spews:
@14
So you would have admired her more for just hanging in their to collect her government paycheck?
I’m not surprised.
ArtFart spews:
15 Uhhh…how ’bout if she’d just plain stayed on and done her job?

Dear dim-witted troll said:
The people of alaska voted her in as Governor – to do a job. She quit before the job was done. She could have run for another term so the lame duck excuse is just plain stupid.
Why is she quitting? Who knows? Maybe all the ethics investigations, maybe she can’t handle the heat of being a politician, maybe she is disconnected and doesn’t care anymore or maybe she will concentrate on being a Presidential candidate.
None of those are admirable excuses for quitting and there are quite a few more excuses that are even less admirable than those.
She has alienated the legislature in alaska and her popularity there is also down…but the wingnuts still love her….
However, there is really nothing there to admire. Being a quitter and reneging on your responsbilities…those are worthy of contempt.

@14 “Rogerwabbitt plays with his vagina and thinks the world is swell.”
I don’t have any complaints. My pension checks are still coming. So are my Social Security checks! And I’ve been buying cheap stocks lately. No worries. And Obama is in the White House, the Democrats have a 60-seat supermajority in the Senate, and the Moose Party candidate just resigned from future relevancy. Things are looking up! Certainly a huge improvement from a year ago. And the trolls are writhing in agony …

@16 I sort of understand Sarah quitting — after all, she’s the mother of a very young child. So is Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, and I’d admire her more if she quit to stay home with her baby. Cathy is a bad mom.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@16 I’m just curious whether Sarah’s quitting has anything to do with rumors that she embezzled funds in the construction of a Wasilla, Alaska, sports arena. I’m not saying there’s anything to these rumors; I’m merely asking if anyone has any information about this.

Palin hasn’t committed herself to a reaon why she is resigning. The “lame duck” argument is so incomprehensible it has to be political cover for another reason. It sounds a bit like Sandford claiming that he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, or that he was driving the coastline of Argentina. You just know there has to be something more.
If her real intent is to run for President, why doesn’t she just say so? It’s her own refusal to be more up front that’s creating all the speculation.
hermaphrowabbit spews:
Yeah, but what’s up with your vagina?
jsa on beacon hill spews:
Look, Sarah Palin is doing what she considers to be the right thing, and who can blame her?
1) Being a governor is probably not a great job for Ms. Sarah. She spends a lot of time in meetings, reading over legislation, dealing with budgets, etc. In addition to all that, it doesn’t pay particularly well. I make more than Sarah does, and I don’t have to pay $12 for a gallon of milk. Granted, I also don’t get to expense my commute to the state I live in.
2) Sarah can do really well as a rock star for the Social Conservative wing of the Republican Party. Dudes dig her. She can go on speaking tours and publish books and generally go out and speak her mind as she sees fit. Her adoring public (all 15% of the voting populace) will lap it up.
3) As long as she is considered a candidate, she will be in the cross-hairs for a lot of people. Once she goes to the position of rock star, a lot of that goes away.
More money, less tedium, more fun at work? I mean what right-thinking person wouldn’t take that?
fishincurt spews:
@27 Of course Lee won’t be placing anything on this blog decrying how people attack someone with a Downs Syndrome Child
Sarah exercised her Constitutionally protected choice when she chose to have unprotected sex when she was over 43 yrs old. She then chose to have a baby that will need special care, medical attention and government assistance for the rest of it’s life when she chose to get tested and then chose to have her special child even though she new it would be born with a disability. She is so good at making choices.
John425 spews:
It takes a lot of balls AND a flight from reality to call Sarah Palin “nuts” when MN sent their own horse’s ass to the Senate.
