WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A U.S. Coast Guard training exercise set off a security scare in Washington’s Potomac River on Friday as the United States marked the eighth anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
That’s bizarre, almost beyond belief. My tee-vee says President Obama was at the Pentagon for memorial services.

When obama said “I want to ensure that we hit the ground running on Jan. 20 because we don’t have a moment to lose,” he said Saturday.
I didn’t think he meant running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

ROTFLAMO. Anti-reality Republicans again. I’ll try to explain how reality works. The U.S. Coast Guard does not get daily instructions from the POTUS on when and how to run exercises. LOL. This comes from their Commanders, who were the same ones as 3 years ago. They don’t get “new” orders from each administration. The officers today are the same officers from a year ago (they might have hired ONE or two new ones, but 95% are the same officers as when Bush was President). The entire Coast Guard officer fleet doesn’t “switch out” between liberals and conservatives, or change regulations, each administration. A few rules may change over years, but the in the last 6 months…LOL.

The stupidity was the media going on the air with it before any confirmation/contact with authorities. They apparently do these quite frequently. In the rush to get on the air first they didn’t bother with fact checking. This is typical in the new era of news as entertainment.
