You weren't an Elector, nor was I. However, I was a whole lot closer to matriculating at the Electoral College than any of our readers -- had Maria Ehsan, the Elector chosen at the 7th Congressional District's Democratic caucus back in May, been unable to attend the Electoral College meeting in Olympia, yours truly (the Alternate Elector from WA-07) would have taken her place as one of Washington's 12 Electors.

Interesting distinction here between “Reign” and “Rule”.
Seems to me that both are, in modern English parlance, one and the same. I think this is deliberate. “Reign” implies the idea of a real form of government that works more like a large public corporation, while “Rule seems to flat out indicate a dictatorship.
As the good people of Kansas are now starting to notice, you cannot accept the idea of personal responsibility without some greater form of mutual responsibility to the individual.
We have no Ruling Class in this country, no matter how much the Bible-Beating-Book-Burners and their puppeteers in Texas scream for one.

I don’t think this woman should have been fired as long as she didn’t bring her language and behavior into the workplace. What someone does in their private life is none of an employer’s business. Maybe somebody should beat the shit out of her, but it’s not an employer’s job to police employees’ behavior outside of the workplace.
